It ended up looking almost nothing like him....

I'm just... uploading it here... trying to be less critical of myself... Yes it isn't perfect, but it isn't bad!

SORRY FOR MESSING UP TYLER, MIKI!!! D:

The outline is horrible because it was initially only going to be a quick sketch of Tyler... and then I started to like it... so I overworked it (like I always do).
I NEED TO STOP DOING THAT!

But regardless of whether I like the end result, it was hella fun to draw! Tyler's an awesome character, and it was fun trying to get his personality in there!

PS. You can't see it, but the poster behind his head says "Crash and Burn", which is the title of the manga Tyler is from!

Programs used: Photoshop for base colors and composition- Sai for everything else.
Time: ... way longer than I intended lol. (Like a week and a half, but I only worked on it for about two or three days.)

Hmm, I don't really know the character, so I can't say in fairness how well you represented him. But I really can say that this still looks pretty awesome, and I don't think you could have outright messed it up.

It looks like it came out well even at full size, and you worked in a good amount of detail.

Aww thanks! What do you think of the shading? I was trying out a softer slightly more realistic style of shading to see how it works. Whaddaya think? XD

I like it.

It really is quite soft, I have no idea how to pull that off with such detail. O.o But it seems blended well with the lighting too. You must have practiced that for a while.

Hahah yup I've been practicing LOL. But it requires really good knowledge of musculature, so I'm not good with doing it full-body yet.

I imagine you have been at it a while, and knowing just how to pull it off with muscle structure does sound complicated. If you keep at it I'm sure you'll get even better.

We all love Tyler.

The way I see it, he sure loves to "smile" upside down a lot XD

I'm sure we met a Tyler like in all our lives. I did. He's one of my very best friends and he's only nice to me out of my group of friends and very over protective of me. He's like a older brother figure for me. ^^

But his temper...

It used to scare me before but now I usually have to be the one to calm him down. XD
